Lunch with Lynch is partnered with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7 - Cape May County
What started as a grassroots program of John Lynch reading to the Pre Kindergarten students at
Glenwood Avenue Elementary School has grown into an non-profit organization providing
positive opportunities to all five of the Island Elementary, Middle and High Schools.
A few of the programs the Lunch With Lynch supports for our area kids!
- The Raise a Reader program has provided a new book to all of our Island Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students since 2012.
- Boardwalk experience with tram car rides, pizza lunch's and sometimes rides at Morey's Piers.
- Community Unity Day where all the Pre-K students from all four schools spend a day of fun & games meeting each other.
- The LWL Fund has provided over $15,000 in Scholarships to graduating college bound seniors.
- Participants in Read Across America.
- Unify Wildwood - A day where all of our Island 4th graders spend a day with the Special Olympics and their athletes.
- Glenwood Avenue Junior Lifeguard Program partnered with the Wildwood Lifeguard Beach Patrol.
- Sponsor the Wildwoods Marbles Program.
- Wildwood Middle School - Math Club Sponsor.
- Sponsor's a Greater Wildwoods Little League Team.
- Provided every child on the Island in Elementary School with a copy of the "Little Tram, Big Decision" book in 2014. Buy your own copy at www.TramCarBook.com
- Provided a $10,000 grant open to all four of our elementary school teachers (2,500 pre school) in 2011.
- Coordinates the Lynch Who Stole Christmas from the GrYnch program.
- Provides Food Baskets at Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving.
- Various fundraising activates at Wildwood Catholic High School.
- Crest Memorial FUN FRIDAY!
- Sponsors the Glenwood Avenue Honor Roll Awards for Glenwood Avenue School.
- Partner with the Wildwood Police Department and National Night Out.
- Provides the 5th grade students of Glenwood Aveune School with a Boardwalk Graduation party
- Coordinates a program with Summer International J1 Students with an American cultural exchange.
- Sponsor of local Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops.
- Wildwood Middle School "Run Club".
- Donates to the After Prom of Wildwoods High School.
- Provides a Chinese Lunch at Glenwood PreK on Chinese New Year.
- Promotes the Wildwoods Boardwalk 5K Pumpkin Run (funds spilt with all 4 elementary schools)
- Pay it Forward - a "life skills lesson" with the 1st Grade at Crest Memorial School.
- Who Let The Dog's Out - 5th grade students get a VIP trip to the Wildwoods Dog Show.
MISSION STATEMENT:
To help facilitate the learning experiences for the children that attend
school on the Island of Wildwood and surrounding communities through educational
opportunities in and out of the classroom environment.
The LWL Foundation Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization that helps facilitate the learning experiences for school children of in the Wildwoods through educational opportunities in and out of the classroom environment.
